Vital Signs

Citizen Data exists to make the data side of a Vital Signs report easy, you already have enough to think about when creating a Vital Signs report - engaging with the community, finding which issues and pillars to cover, finding sponsors and trying to focus on key areas where there are so many different things that you could report on.

Our Vital Signs service helps with the data, nothing more, nothing less. Data is the bedrock foundation of every Vital Signs report and our service typically follows this pattern

Your own Data ..

We've been working with data from all sources for decades and we've never met a data challenge that we couldn't do. We'd be happy to review your specific requirements, especially if we can blend your data with our existing dataset.

Security and privacy for your own data is of course paramount, and we have experience of handling highly sensitive data with the appropriate controls and governance.

Project Initiation

Initial contact where we discuss your needs and provide some early stage common data points - 2 to 4 weeks

Explanations and support for any data questions, investigating local sources of data in addition to our full suite of Open Data - you will receive a comprehensive data review that you can use for further discussion with your stake holders and community groups.

Delivery of Data

  1. Requested data will be delivered as Excel workbooks ready to go. Every data point will have an absolute value, percentages (based on your selected regions), trend where available

  2. Optionally we will also deliver relevant charting and visualisation, for instance population is normally displayed as a tornado chart we make these available for all your regions so you can really see at a detailed level what is going on in your region.

  3. Optionally online dashboards so you can see and interact with your data online, this is ideal where you'd like to share insight with many people across organisations

Review and Refresh

  1. When you have had a chance to review your data and put it to use there will normally be some follow up questions and new data requirements

  2. Potentially we can add new data from your own sources

  3. We can find and integrate new data sources, this is especially interesting if there is a large market appeal

  4. We may iterate over this stage, refining the data, charts (if you have them) and output dashboards until they meet your needs perfectly

Final Delivery and Project Completion

  1. With our data and you team you should now have all the pieces to create a great Vital Signs report.

  2. We can work with your graphic design team to provide data

  3. We will take any learnings from your project and use them to improve the Citizen Data service
